Melissa elder, Founder & CEO

As the founder of Walnut Health, Melissa passionately empowers women to make sustainable lifestyle changes through integrative fitness, nutrition, and stress management. Her unique holistic wellness method improves physical and mental health, while increasing pleasure.

Melissa learned how to cope with low self-confidence and unhealthy “health” habits by developing a more sustainable approach, while diving into the world of healthcare and the disadvantages of a rather siloed system. A NASM-Certified Personal Trainer with an MBA in Healthcare Administration, Melissa launched Walnut Health in 2014, the culmination of her efforts to provide wellness solutions on a grander scale to individuals, organizations, and medical practices.

Jamie Wolff, COO

A whole-hearted realistic optimist, Jamie believes in a creative approach to health from all angles, including a hefty dose of humor. She encourages “big picture” wellness fueled by empowering self-stories and meaningful connections. Unimpressed with the current “language” of health, she shifts the conversation away from shame and prescriptive fitness toward a positive dialogue that supports sustainable behavior change.

Blending her passions for creativity, psychology, and physical health not only helped Jamie move toward a more sustainable lifestyle, it also helped shape her dream career: Integrative fitness and health psychology. She joined Walnut Health in 2016 to further promote empowered health and bridge gaps between different sectors of wellness.
